Balsam Family, Balsaminaceae
The Balsam family is comprised of 2 genera, one of which has 1 species and the other of which (genus Impatiens) has over 300. The whole family has 3 or 4 species in Finland, of which 1 (orange balsam) has disappeared or is disappearing and another (Himalayan balsam) is spreading like wildfire and is held up as an example of an aggressively spreading alien.
