Dogwood Family, Cornaceae
Several members of the Dogwood family grow in Finland, but only one is a herb-stemmed flowering plant – the rest are ornamental bushes which, although they can be found in the wild, originate from gardens. All of Finland’s Dogwood plants are members of genus Cornus. Globally, the Dogwood family is comprised of 10 genera which contain well over 100 species, mainly trees and bushes.
