  • Name also: Meu, Spiknel, Spikenel, Baldmoney Spignel
  • Family: Carrot Family – Apiaceae (Umbelliferae)
  • Growing form: Perennial herb with strong rootstock.
  • Height: 15–50 cm. Stem angular, glabrous, hollow. At base remains of last year’s leafstalks. Fragrance reminds anis.
  • Flowering time: June–August.
